'Devil Child Nico Mawile'

Saya stayed close to Smolder using his fire to lighten the cave she was in. Once hearing about an outbreak of Mawile at Black Cave she just about raced away to catch the steel fairy type. 'Sorry to leave you behind Tsubasa. But I didn't want to waste time,' she silently willed her thoughts to her close trainer friend. She had left him behind sleeping in his tent early that morning. They had camped in a clearing training their Pokemon there for a good couple of days. "Taranis, Anyon? Anything?" she questioned her Trapinch and Sandile. Both shook their heads. "Keep alert. A Mawile could be anywhere," she instructed.

"Sand!" Anyon exclaimed ready to do anything for his trainer. The same went for Taranis. Both had joined her later in her journey through the rainbow region, but both knew she cared deeply about any Pokemon that she befriended or caught.

"Trap?" Taranis called out hearing a noise not long after that.

"Huh? You hear something Taranis?" Saya questioned. Just then Smolder tensed as they all heard movement.

Stepping around a corner was none other than the ground type gym leader Mak. "Huh? Oh, your that girl who surprised me with her strategy," he said.

"Uh yeah. My name is Saya. What are you doing here?" she questioned in return.

"I'm here because there is a Pokemon causing trouble. Supposedly a Mawile is the source of it," Mak replied. "It is said to know Magnet Rise, Fairy Wind, Iron Head, and Ice Punch. It's supposed to be very dangerous. You let me know if you find it, okay?"

As he spoke Saya caught movement out of the corner of her eye and something told her not to say anything about to Mak. "Got it. You be careful too," she said before Mak went on. After she was sure he was gone she turned to her right and looked towards a large rock. "It's all right. You can come out...Mawile." Slowly...a Mawile peeked its head out looking at her. What was odd was that it had a purple artificial flower pin on its head. "I'm guessing you are that Mawile he was talking about right?"

"Maw," was all the Mawile said as it gazed at her. It looked at her an emotion Saya knew all too well. It was lonely.

"Not sure if you will accept or not, but I'll offer any way. Would you like to join my team?" The Mawile looked at her surprised. "I've been lonely too and the best way to end the loneliness to be with another. They probably just think your trouble because you like to wear that flower clip," Saya said, "I think it just makes you look cuter." In the next second...the Mawile leapt into Saya's arms crying. "There, there. Now...let's make sure no one sees you going out. I'll catch you and as soon as we are clear of here I'll let you out okay?"

"Ma," the Mawile agreed nodding.

"Okay...now for a name...how about...Nico?" Saya questioned to which the steel fairy nodded. Saya brought out a pokeball and tapped it on Nico, catching her quickly. "All right, mission complete. Now...time for a speedy exit," Saya said and along with her three Pokemon they quickly sped out of the cave. Half way back to where she left Tsubasa Saya took out Nico's pokeball. "All clear Nico." With that Nico leapt free of her ball and sat on Saya's shoulder. "Welcome to the team Nico."

"So there you are," came a voice that had Saya glancing up to see Tsubasa and Shuhei glaring at her.

"Eh, he. Sorry Tsubasa, but I heard Mawile were sighted and wanted one on my team so badly I couldn't wait. By the way...I would like you too to met Nico the Mawile," Saya introduced her new Pokemon.

Tsubasa looked to Nico who tensed slightly then he smiled. "Welcome to our little family Nico." He looked back at Saya. "All right now it's time to catch a plane."

"Huh? To where?"

"There are more Pokemon outbreaks on a place called Xandy Island. Heard there are Skiddo and Litleo over there."

Saya perked at what he mentioned last. "Litleo? Those are from Kalos. They look cute and I always wanted a female one."

"Only way to get there is by plane. Let's go," Tsubasa said and with that they were off for Xandy Island and new adventures.
