Rainbow Valentine

Saya twirled the rose that had been delivered to her in her hands as she sat on a bench with Astera the Minccino, Ladon the Dratini, Rhene the Deerling, Oya the Ralts, Aella the Combee, and Sirius the Absol around her. There had been a note with the rose saying that on Valentine’s Day any couples were to go to Jawbreakers Point where they could trade roses with their partner. But…would Tsubasa really exchange roses with her? She looked to her team. “What do you guys think? Should I try to exchange flowers with him?” she questioned them. Astera, Ladon, Rhene, Oya, and Aella shouted in agreement while Sirius just nodded his head.

Meanwhile Tsubasa was going through the same dilemma. “Would she?” he questioned as Shuhei the Lucario, Ichigo the Growlithe, Soifon the Gible, Jakka the Larvesta, Kisuke the Beldum, and his newest member Uryuu the Oshawott looked on. Kisuke floated close to him and he glanced at it. For a few seconds it seemed if it was speaking to him psychically and the Tsubasa smiled. “Your right. Won’t know unless I try right?” Kisuke nodded.

~A few days later~

Saya stood next to Tsubasa as they stood at Jawbreakers Point along with many other couples. Saya glanced nervously at him unsure when was the right time to give him the rose. ‘Might as well get it over with quickly,’ she thought to herself. “Tsubasa?”

“Yeah? What is it Saya?” Tsubasa questioned in return. Aster and Shuhei stood apart from their trainers watching everything.

“I…uh…I wanna give you this rose. I know you probably have no feelings for me or anything…” she said quickly, but Tsubasa silenced her quickly by placing a finger on her lips.

“Calm down Saya,” he said calmly, “I do care about you. Maybe I’m in love with you and maybe I’m not, but I do want to exchange roses with as friends until we truly figure out how we feel about each other.”

Saya smiled as she blushed slightly. Tsubasa took his finger away from her lips and they exchanged roses. Soon after they did that a pair of Budew trotted up to the pair. “Huh? What are they doing here?” Says questioned.

“There’s a note on them,” Tsubasa said as he plucked the note off of one of the bud pokemon. “It says these Budew are for those couples or people who gave their rose away to their friends or those they care about.” He looked to Saya. “Looks like we got some new members on our teams.”

“It sure does,” Saya said as the female Budew jumped into her arms and the male Budew did the same to Tsubasa.
